Eligibility
Applicants entering IHS through the U.S. Public Health Service as a Commissioned Corps officer must meet the following requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Medical Physical
- Minimum 2 Year Commitment
- Must Be Under 44 Years of Age at Time of Commission
- Registered Hygienists: Bachelors Degree and Valid License From Any U.S. State
- Dentists: DDS or DMD and Valid License From Any U.S. State
